Divide​

  • Split walls, floors, and ceilings by MASS (Linked) or GRID

Divide

  1. Linked mass → reads only the masses in the linked file
  2. Pick grids directly → select grids in the currently open file

⚠️ Grids must be straight lines only (no arcs). Splitting is hard to undo, so back up the model first.

⚠️ Openings, holes, joins, doors/windows, and void cuts are preserved automatically.

⚠️ On Revit 2021 and earlier, a ceiling is converted Ceiling→Floor before splitting (API limitation).

⚠️ On Revit 2021 and earlier, profile-edited openings in floors/ceilings become family openings.

Divide Wall, Divide Floor, Divide Ceiling​

  • Run Divide individually per category

Mass SUM​

  • Sum the quantities of the selected objects
  • Thrown together quickly out of necessity, so it's a bit rough..
