Privacy Policy

1. Overview
PPAPPURI ("the Software") is an add-in for Autodesk® Revit®. This policy explains what information the Software processes for the sole purposes of license activation and management of the free trial and the free version. The Software does not collect or transmit your drawings, models, or project content.
2. Information We Process
The Software processes only the minimum information needed for the purposes below.

- The hardware identifier is a one-way SHA-256 hash of a Windows device identifier and cannot be reversed. We do not collect device location, specifications, or personal files. To prevent trial-period abuse (for example, renewing a trial by only changing the device name), a hash that excludes the device name is processed as well.
- Update check: the Software checks for the latest version when Revit starts. The installed Software version and the Revit version are sent, and the server keeps only per-day version counts and the 50 most recent check records (time, version, Revit version, country). These records contain no license key, email, or device identifier and are not used to identify individuals.
- PPAPPURI CHAT runs only when you open the chat window and use it. If you never use it, none of the CHAT rows above is ever sent.
- With new-message notifications on, the add-in asks the server once a minute whether anything is new, even while the chat window is closed, for as long as Revit is running. Only the hashed room identifier and your last-read position are sent. You can turn notifications off under [Settings] in the CHAT tab.
- The room identifier is part of a one-way SHA-256 hash of the path of the open file (the central model when worksharing is on). The path and the file name themselves are never sent. People who open the same file get the same value, and that is what groups them into one room.
- The display name defaults to your Revit user name and can be changed in the chat window at any time.
- Sending an Issue Record list also sends the element ids, categories, type names and notes it contains. The drawing/model file itself and its geometry are not sent.
- Sending a view sends its name, its type and the internal identifier (UniqueId) that points at it. What is drawn in the view is not sent.
- Sending an image stores that image file on the server as-is. Check what is on screen before you send it.
- Anyone in a room can read what is posted there. Do not post confidential information. If your organisation restricts sending material to outside servers, check with the responsible team before using this feature.
- The Software collects no model/drawing content and no behavioural usage data (such as which feature you used and when). The CHAT rows above are content you type and send yourself.
3. Data Stored Locally
The following is stored only on your PC and is never transmitted:
- License file (
%APPDATA%\PPAPPURI\.lic): license key, email, device hash, and expiry, stored encrypted. - Install/last-run dates: stored encrypted in the Windows Registry (for trial-period calculation).
- Diagnostic log (
diag.log): not created by default. It is enabled only for troubleshooting (e.g., when guided by support); even when enabled, the license key and email are masked, and it is never transmitted externally.
4. Processing Infrastructure
License and trial data, and PPAPPURI CHAT conversations, are processed and stored via Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers/KV/D1). Images sent through chat are stored in the same provider's object storage (Cloudflare R2). All transmission is encrypted over HTTPS. Any third party processing data on our behalf is required to provide the same level of protection stated in this policy. The software uses no advertising networks, analytics tools or third-party SDKs, and we do not sell or otherwise disclose the data to third parties beyond the purposes stated above.
5. Retention & Deletion
- License/trial data is retained only as long as needed for license validity and abuse prevention.
- Update-check records are kept for the last 14 days (per-day counts) and the 50 most recent checks; older entries are dropped automatically.
- Chat messages and any Issue Record lists, view information and images sent with them are deleted automatically 20 days after they are posted. A room with no messages and nobody in it is removed at the same time. You can also delete your own messages from the chat window at any time.
- Upon a user's deletion request, the data is deleted without undue delay.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data via the contact below.
Withdrawing consent. PPAPPURI CHAT can be switched off in [Settings]; once off, the software makes no contact with the chat server at all. If you do not want your license/trial data processed, uninstall the software; on request to the contact below we will delete the corresponding data held on our servers.
